Poetry writing technique you should know

As a person who spends a lot of time writing, I spend just as much time reading! I love reading all types of books. Lately, I’ve been intrigued with books on economics and politics. That’s for another blog post. This post however, is about another book I came across while actually going to the library.

🧠 At the end of this post I will also post two examples of the technique used

I ended up keeping the poetry book MY BAD!!! 😂 anyway, the book had an intro where it discussed certain techniques used in poetry that could be beneficial to one who has an open mind about being creative and the creative process.

Although I don’t remember the title or the author, I remember a technique where you write down 4 words and make a sentence with each of those words.

Descriptive in their own manner. I have practiced this technique a number of times and although it seems simple, this technique has helped me improve my song writing and also creative writing!

I hope this technique helps anyone on their creative writing journey or whatever path you choose in life or wherever life takes you! If that fails, I hope my examples will help shed some light!

Light, organize, dancing, chain

I breathe you in and the light escapes me

Like willfully waking up to organized chaos

Devils dancing in all the details

Choked by the chains of dispare

Ex.2

The travel made light by your smile

Organ eyes play on my heart for a while

Your reflection dancing off of the peaceful pond

The chains from day to day life are gone
